Dr. William E. Genetti

ELSINORE – Dr. William E. Genetti, 47, Oxford, Mississippi, died November 3, 1989, in a Memphis, Tennessee hospital.

He was born March 24, 1942, in Ogden, Utah to Dominic and Marie (Niederjaufner) Genetti. He married Sandra Bragg, daughter of B.K. and Opal Jolley Bragg, former residents of Elsinore, September 11, 1965, Elsinore; later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple.

He served as president of the Oxford, Mississippi LDS Branch and as a bishop for seven years in Bozeman, Montana. He was a professor of chemical engineering and chairman of the chemical engineering department at University of Mississippi.

He received his BS degree in chemical engineering at University of Utah and his PhD at Oregon State University. He had been assistant professor, associate professor and professor at Montana State University.

Survivors: wife, Oxford, Mississippi; sons, daughters: Marie Opal, Kennewick, Washington; Teressa Lee, William Berlin, Dominic B.K., Andrew Sterling, Angelo Vincent, all of Oxford, Mississippi; brother, sisters: Mary Alldredge, Brigham City; Irene Bergman, San Antonio, Texas; Ann Granato, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Albert Genetti, Ogden, Utah.

Funeral services were Sunday in Oxford, Mississippi, with graveside services Tuesday in the Monroe City Cemetery, Richfield, Utah.
