John B. Genetti, 82, of 516 East Church Street, Collinsville [Illinois], died at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Hospital, East St. Louis, where he had been a patient for a week.
Mr. Genetti was a waiter at the Coronado Hotel in St. Louis for many years before his retirement. He was an Army veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Julia, a son, Jack Genetti, 216 Brittany Lane, Belleville; three daughters, Mrs. August Lohmann Jr., Collinsville; Mrs. Pat Derfler, Fairview Heights; and Sister Mary Julia Genetti, Ursuline Convent, Springfield, Ill.; and 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, a brother, two half sisters and a half brother.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from the Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, to SS. Peter and Paul Church, Collinsville, for services at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
