Webmaster’s Note: Joyce would have been my aunt if she had lived passed the age of 9 years old. We don’t know much about Joyce’s short life, nor have any photographs of her. Her death certificate lists the cause of death as: Acute Endocarditis – cause unknown. This is a bacteria infection that often affects heart valves and chambers. Joyce was buried in St. Gabriel’s cemetery, just across the street from her family’s home.
