Mary Dougherty Genetti

Mrs. August Genetti, aged 24 years, died at 9 o’clock last night at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dougherty, at Beaver Meadow, after a lingering illness.

Mrs. Genetti, formerly Mary Dougherty, was born in Beaver Meadow and resided there until her marriage four years ago. Her husband is a member of the firm of Genetti’s operating a chain of food stores and a restaurant in this city.

Besides her husband and her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Rose Mary, aged 2 1/2 years; and two sisters, Rose and Helen, of Beaver Meadow.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 8:45. A solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated in St. Mary’s church, Beaver Meadow at 9 a.m. and interment will be made in the parish cemetery.

Webmaster note: According to Mary’s Pennsylvania Death Certificate, she died 21 months after giving birth to her only child, Rose Mary, of hypostatic pneumonia with the contributing cause of polyneuritis paralysis (a rare disease with unknown cause.)
