Adeline J. Pongratz, 94, formerly of Weston, and a resident of Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the past four years, passed away Saturday morning at the facility.
Born in Derringer on April 24, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Bartholdi Genetti.
Prior to residing at Orangeville, she had been a resident of Weston for 48 years.
Mrs. Pongratz was a homemaker for most of her life, but during WWII she had worked as a welder at American Car& Foundry (AC&F), Berwick. She was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston, and enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Michael G. Pongratz, in 1973; and a brother, Frank Genetti. Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Pongratz and her husband, Michael DeMarco, Bloomsburg.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston. Interment will followin the parish cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 9:30 a.m. until time of the Mass, at the church.
