John D. Genetti, Kingston, a former resident of Hazelton, died Tuesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Leon and Angeline (Marchetti) Genetti.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a butcher at Genetti Markets. He was a former member of St. Gabriel’s Church, and was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
A sister, Mrs. Adeline Kashi, preceded him in death.
Surviving are, Amelia Mesisca Genetti, to whom he was previously married; and the following children, Mrs. Jack (Mary Ellen) Rowe, Reading; Mrs. Mark (Joann) Swank, Ronald, Diane, and Lee An Genetti, all of Hazleton; two grandchildren; sister and brothers, Leon Genetti Jr., Hazleton; Mrs. Rita Young, Hazleton; Joseph Genetti, Buffalo, NY; and Mrs. Stephen (Catherine) Farkus, Reading.
A Memorial Mass will be held tonight at 6 o’clock at the Assumption Monastery, Sugarloaf, PA.
