Rose F. Weidick, 87, of Drums and formerly of West Hazleton, passed away Monday at her home. She was born in Jeddo, daughter of the late Silvio and Mary (Donar) Genetti, and resided in the drums area for the past 27 years.
Prior to her retirement, Rose was a bookkeeper at Weidick’s Office Supply.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Hazleton, the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 8253 of West Hazleton, St. John Bosco Young at Heart Group, a life member of the Fourth Armored Division Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was active in the Deborah Hospital Foundation.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, John F. Weidick, who died Oct. 18, 2002; and a sister, Regina Curtis.
Surviving are her two sons, Richard Weidick and his wife, Monica, of Sybertsville; and Larry Weidick of West Hazleton; two grandchildren, Kayla and Ryan; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from Hilary J. Bonin Funeral Home, 99 W. Green St., West Hazleton, PA.
