Family Tree

The Genetti Family Tree is an ever-expanding project with its roots beginning in 1461. Our online tree includes over 2300 names of ancestors and associated relatives, several branches and approximately 20 generations. Yes, the Genetti clan has been quite prolific throughout the ages!

As research continues, new names, dates, photos, notes and sources are added. Plus every effort is made to include female ancestors left out of previous ancestral trees. Where available, you will also find side branches containing ancestral information of spouses, providing a deeper genealogical background of other surnames from the Val di Non region of Tyrol, and offering a more complete picture of your ancestry.

Access the online Genetti Family Tree by clicking this link:

http://genettifamily.tribalpages.com.**

I suggest starting with the earliest ancestor on the tree: Pietro Genetti (b. 1461). Then begin clicking the linked word “tree” found on the lower left corner of each ancestor box to open the next generation on the tree. You can also start by locating your immediate family connection and work in reverse. Have fun exploring our ancestral roots!

Please note, to maintain privacy all information pertaining to living descendants on our online tree has been hidden.

This extensive online data base allows visitors to select a relative and view the following:

  • A traditional family tree chart
  • An individual family sheet
  • An ancestor’s chart
  • A descendant’s chart
  • A kinship generator
  • Surname generation reports
  • A dynamic world map with locations of ancestors pinpointed

And remember to say hello to other family members by signing the Guest Book located at the top of the Family Tree page. Enjoy searching through the centuries and have fun learning about your Tyrolean ancestors.

Special Note: I welcome any new information, photographs, corrections or additions you would like to contribute to The Genetti Family Tree. Also, please contact me directly if you have a different family tree containing a shared relative found on the main tree and would like to merge your information. I would be happy to help with all tasks. Click here to email information directly to me. Compiling this project is a daunting task, but with your help we can build a tree that represents the entire Genetti family.

Special Note – The Genetti Family Tree hosted by Tribal Pages can be viewed on your cell phone or mobile device by downloading the Tribal Page App.

**Due to its size and complexity, the Genetti Family Tree is being hosted on a separate server created especially to accommodate extensive genealogical information with the ability to cross reference all listings.

Disclaimer: Every effort has been made to verify source information and provide accurate ancestral documentation. However there may be mistakes or inconsistencies in some listings. Information on living relatives has been hidden for security reasons. I ask that you be respectful and discreet with all information contained on the tree.

Due to the amount of time, energy and upkeep required to maintain The Genetti Family Tree, I ask that you do not copy or transfer any information, photographs or personal memorabilia to other genealogy databases, websites or trees (example: Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org, etc.) without expressed permission from this site’s owner. Mille Grazie!

My mother, Mary Lou Wilshire, was the daughter of Catherine Genetti and Isaac Wilshire, who lived in Colllinsville, IL. My mother married Wilbert Franklin sometime during or shortly after WWII, and they moved to McDonald, KS, where they worked with my father’s uncle on a family farm. They later had their owned farm in Edson, KS, which is in the far northwest corner of the state, about 200 miles east of Denver, CO. They had three children, Susan, Patrice and me, Mark. Presently, I live in Castle Rock, CO, Susan is in Littleton, CO, and Patrice is in Albuquerque, NM.

Hi Mark – thank you for visiting our website and for your comment. I have studied your branch of the Genetti tree quite extensively. We are distantly related through two branches of the Genetti family and also through the Zambotti family. Plus we are almost neighbors as I live in Santa Fe, NM! I would love to get more information from you about Katie and Wilshire’s descendants so I can add them to our family tree. Please send me your email address through the contact page on this website so we can share information via email.

Super. Thanks. If it is okay with you and my sister Pat, I will also give you her email address, as she has also done ancestry research for both our father and mother. since we all have children and grand children, we could potentially add a lot of names. I am hoping to make a trip to Italy to visit Castelfondo. I have been to Italy several times, but never made it that far north.
